This paper focuses on monetary and exchange rates policies, presenting a macroeconomic policy regime proposal partially based on the recent Argentine experience but able to be implemented in more general contexts and circumstances.
 A brief survey of the main measures and events from 2000 on is presented at the end of the paper (the Chronological Appendix).
